The Chinese mainland and the United States are set to enhance military cooperation, with preliminary plans for defense exchanges now in place. Wu Qian, spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, announced on Thursday that arrangements have been made for future military exchanges between the two nations.
Wu emphasized that effective communication is maintained through military diplomatic channels and assured that relevant information will be disclosed in due course. He expressed hope that the U.S. will collaborate with China towards common objectives, guided by the consensus of heads of state.
The spokesperson highlighted the importance of strengthening dialogue, properly managing disagreements, and conducting substantive cooperation based on mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win principles. These efforts aim to foster a positive start for China-U.S. military-to-military relations, encouraging continued growth and collaboration.
