In a significant move to enhance bilateral relations, China's top legislator Zhao Leji and Dashzegve Amarbayasgalan, chairman of Mongolia's State Great Hural, agreed on Tuesday to strengthen exchange and cooperation between their nations' national and local legislatures.
The meeting, held in Beijing, saw Zhao emphasizing the fruitful outcomes of recent mutually beneficial cooperation under the strategic guidance of both heads of state. \"China is committed to working with Mongolia to implement the important consensus reached by our leaders. We aim to build a China-Mongolia community with a shared future and advance the steady growth of our comprehensive strategic partnership,\" Zhao stated.
Zhao highlighted that maintaining good-neighborliness and friendship is a strategic choice that aligns with the fundamental interests of both peoples. He called for mutual benefits and enhanced cooperation across various fields, urging both nations to use history as a guide to safeguard the UN-centered international system and defend the victorious outcomes of World War II.
Echoing these sentiments, Amarbayasgalan affirmed Mongolia's firm adherence to the one-China principle. He expressed Mongolia's readiness to deepen the synergy of development strategies and strengthen cooperation in key sectors such as transportation ports, energy, agriculture, and electric vehicles. \"The Mongolian State Great Hural is eager to strengthen friendly exchanges with China's NPC and utilize our regular exchange mechanisms to promote our comprehensive strategic partnership,\" Amarbayasgalan added.
The collaboration aims to not only reinforce legislative ties but also contribute to the broader development of both countries. With the third session of the 14th NPC set to open soon, Zhao also touched upon the system of China's NPC, underlining its role in fostering long-term friendly relations with Mongolia.
