China has emerged victorious in the mixed team aerials event at the Federation of International Ski and Snowboard (FIS) Freestyle Skiing World Cup, held at Beidahu Ski Resort in Changchun, Jilin Province.
The competition featured eight teams, with both China and the USA fielding two squads each. Other participating nations included Canada, Ukraine, Australia, and Kazakhstan.
Team China 1, comprising Olympic gold medalists Xu Mengtao and Qi Guangpu along with Li Tianma, secured the top position with a combined score of 345.26 points. Team USA 1 took second place with 317.05 points, while Team China 2, featuring Chen Meiting, Wang Xindi, and Li Xinpeng, achieved third place with 316.72 points.
Qi Guangpu expressed confidence in the team's performance, stating, \"The weather today is better than yesterday, and all my teammates performed well, so I was very confident when I went out for the last run.\" His successful landing contributed 123.53 points to the team's total score.
Li Tianma, who won the men's aerials title the previous day, added 122.57 points with a back full-double-full-full landing. Xu Mengtao, the champion in the women's aerials at Beidahu, scored 99.16 points.
Overall, Chinese athletes have amassed three golds, two silvers, and one bronze at the World Cup in Beidahu, highlighting their dominance in the competition.
