China and Uganda Pledge Stronger Strategic Partnership

In a significant move to enhance bilateral relations, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Ugandan Foreign Minister Jeje Odongo at the United Nations headquarters in New York on Tuesday. The discussions centered around deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Uganda.

Wang Yi emphasized the longstanding respect, trust, and support that underpin the relationship between the two nations. \"China will always be a sincere friend and reliable partner on Uganda's path to development and revitalization,\" he stated, highlighting China's commitment to Uganda's growth.

Ugandan Foreign Minister Jeje Odongo echoed these sentiments, expressing Uganda's view of China as a trustworthy and dependable partner. Odongo praised the governance achievements of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and expressed a desire to learn from China's path of modernization and development.

The meeting underscores the mutual dedication of both countries to fostering economic and strategic ties, aiming to create a foundation for future collaboration and shared prosperity.
