China’s Wang Yi Advocates for UN-Centric International Order at Munich Security Conference

At the Munich Security Conference, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized the importance of upholding the international system with the United Nations at its core. Wang highlighted that while different parties may have varying interpretations of international rules, a common understanding remains essential for maintaining global stability.

Wang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, addressed concerns about the current international order and the risk of double standards. He noted that China has benefited from the existing system and expressed a commitment to promoting its development in a more just and reasonable direction, reflecting the aspirations of the majority of countries.

Furthermore, Wang underscored China's readiness to take on greater international responsibilities by providing more public goods to the global community. He introduced a series of global initiatives, urging the international community to collaborate in addressing development, security, and governance challenges.

China's proposal to build a community with a shared future for mankind has garnered support from numerous countries, Wang added. He affirmed that China will continue to contribute to the implementation of these important concepts, reinforcing its role in shaping a stable and cooperative international order.
