Green Renovations Propel Harbin’s 9th Asian Winter Games

The city of Harbin is set to shine as it prepares to host the 9th Asian Winter Games, showcasing not only top-tier winter sports but also a commitment to sustainable development. During a recent press conference held in Heilongjiang Province, the organizing committee unveiled their strategic approach to enhancing the local winter sports industry.

Deputy Secretary General Zhuang Shichao highlighted the extensive renovations undertaken for the event's venues. \"The venues were all repaired and renovated using the original facilities,\" Zhuang explained. \"At the same time, the concept of green development was instilled into them. The venue renovation used energy-saving and environmentally friendly building materials and green and low-carbon building technology. Clean energy and environmentally friendly products were widely used in all aspects of society.\"

These efforts have not gone unnoticed, as international experts have certified the sustainability measures implemented across Harbin's infrastructure. Furthermore, the venues benefited from the guidance of technical representatives from international sports associations during the renovation process, ensuring that all standards were met.

The dedication to eco-friendly practices has not only enhanced the functionality and aesthetics of the sporting venues but also set a benchmark for future events. Zhuang concluded, \"Therefore, our event, the entire venue construction and the subsequent guarantee can proceed smoothly. Thank you.\"

With these green initiatives, Harbin is not only advancing winter sports but also reinforcing its role as a leader in sustainable event management within Asia.
