Chinese Athletes Conclude Asian Winter Games with Three Medals

Chinese athletes wrapped up their competitions at the 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin, the Chinese mainland's Heilongjiang Province, on Friday, securing two bronze medals and one silver.

The hosts triumphed over China’s Hong Kong with a 10-3 victory in the men's curling third-place game, marking their 25th bronze medal. In the finals, the Philippines claimed their first-ever Asian Winter Games gold by upsetting South Korea 5-3.

In women's curling, China lost to South Korea 7-2 in the final, earning the hosts their 27th silver medal at the event. Japan secured the bronze by defeating Kazakhstan 6-3.

Kazakhstan avenged their earlier loss against Japan in the men's ice hockey final with a decisive 5-0 win to take the title. South Korea bested China 5-2 to win the bronze medal.

The women's ice hockey competitions concluded on Friday, with Japan overwhelming China 8-1 in their final match to clinch gold. Kazakhstan finished as the runner-up after a 3-0 victory over South Korea, while the hosts secured the bronze medal.
