China Champions Multipolarization as Global Trend

The Chinese Foreign Ministry emphasized on Tuesday that multipolarization is an unstoppable trend shaping today's world. During a regular press conference, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun responded to inquiries regarding a recent report by the Munich Security Conference.

The report highlighted that the world is entering an increasingly multipolar era, with China emerging as a leading advocate for a new multipolar order. It noted that the Chinese populace widely supports multipolarization, believing it fosters peace and prosperity.

Guo Jiakun stated that China advocates for an equal and orderly multipolar world complemented by universally beneficial and inclusive economic globalization. He affirmed China's commitment to practicing true multilateralism, striving for greater democracy in international relations, and upholding the principles of the UN Charter.

He further emphasized that China plays a constructive role in resolving international and regional hotspot issues, promoting fairness and justice. Guo highlighted China's dedication to win-win cooperation and high-quality development, continuously advancing high-level opening-up and promoting trade and investment liberalization.

China has been a significant driver of global economic growth, contributing around 30 percent in recent years. Guo stressed the importance of closer cooperation among countries to address multiple global challenges.

Concluding his remarks, Guo voiced China's willingness to collaborate with all parties to embrace the current global trends, share opportunities, overcome challenges, and promote collective development. He underscored China's commitment to building a community with a shared future for mankind, aiming to enhance world peace, stability, development, and prosperity.
