China Advocates Global AI Collaboration at Paris Summit

Zhang Guoqing, the Chinese mainland's special representative for President Xi Jinping, attended the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Action Summit in Paris on Monday. During his address, Zhang emphasized the importance of promoting common development and security in the AI sector, aiming to build a community with a shared future for mankind.

As a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and vice premier of the State Council, Zhang highlighted that AI has become a pivotal force driving a new wave of technological revolution and industrial transformation. He underscored China's commitment to participating in the global governance of AI in a highly responsible manner.

China extends an invitation to all parties to join the 2025 World AI Conference in Shanghai, promoting further dialogue and collaboration. The summit saw participation from heads of state and government, high-level representatives from over 30 countries, and leaders of international organizations, all of whom issued a joint statement endorsing the summit's objectives.

During his visit to France, Zhang also met with French President Emmanuel Macron. The two leaders agreed to strengthen communication and cooperation between their nations, with a shared goal of promoting peace and development.
