The Chinese mainland Issues Yellow Alert for Strong Winds During Asian Winter Games

China's National Meteorological Center (NMC) has renewed a yellow alert for strong winds and forecasted temperature drops in northeastern Heilongjiang Province, where the 9th Asian Winter Games are currently taking place.

The yellow alert remains in effect from 8 a.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday, with strong winds anticipated in parts of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Hebei Province, Xizang Autonomous Region, and Qinghai Province.

In addition to the land areas, powerful winds are expected over bodies of water including the Yellow Sea, East China Sea, Taiwan Strait, waters east of Taiwan Island, Bashi Channel, and South China Sea.

Participants and spectators of the Asian Winter Games are advised to take necessary precautions amid the forecasted weather conditions.
