China Opposes Forced Displacement of Gaza Residents, Advocates Two-State Solution

China has voiced strong opposition to the forced displacement of residents in Gaza, emphasizing that Gaza is an inalienable part of the territory of Palestine. During a regular press briefing on Thursday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun responded to inquiries about U.S. President Donald Trump's proposal to 'clear out' and take over Gaza.

Guo Jiakun asserted that Gaza belongs to the Palestinian people and should not be used as a bargaining chip for political maneuvers. He highlighted the severe devastation and suffering already experienced by Gaza due to the ongoing conflict.

The spokesperson called on the international community, particularly major nations, to collaborate in providing humanitarian assistance and aiding in the reconstruction of Gaza. \"China firmly supports the legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people, believes that 'the Palestinians governing Palestine' is an important principle that must be upheld in Gaza's post-conflict governance, and opposes the forced displacement of the people of Gaza,\" Guo stated.

Furthermore, China expressed its readiness to work alongside global partners to realize a two-state solution, which it views as the fundamental path forward. This includes striving for an early and just political settlement of the Palestinian question, aiming for the establishment of an independent State of Palestine with full sovereignty based on the 1967 borders and East Jerusalem as its capital.
