Xi Jinping and Kyrgyzstan President Forge Stronger Ties in Beijing Talks

Chinese Premier Xi Jinping has emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation with Kyrgyzstan to enhance mutual development and strengthen bilateral relations. During his state visit to Beijing, Premier Xi met with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, underscoring the achievement of a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations.

Praise was given to the robust political mutual trust and extensive cooperation across various sectors, which have laid a solid foundation for building a China-Kyrgyzstan community with a shared future. Premier Xi highlighted the focus on high-quality Belt and Road initiatives, aiming to expand economic and trade cooperation, import more quality goods from Kyrgyzstan, and support Chinese businesses investing in the region.

Additionally, Premier Xi called for improvements in connectivity, including the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, modernization of ports, and the expansion of passenger and freight flights to facilitate easier movement of people and goods. Emphasis was also placed on advancing cooperation in emerging fields such as cross-border e-commerce, big data, and artificial intelligence to drive new growth opportunities.

The meetings culminated in the signing of a joint statement and a Belt and Road cooperation plan, along with several agreements spanning diplomacy, economy, trade, and agriculture. Kyrgyz President Japarov reaffirmed China's role as a reliable partner and expressed commitment to supporting China on key issues while expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.

Through these strengthened ties, China and Kyrgyzstan are poised to play a more influential role in regional and global affairs, fostering sustainable development and mutual prosperity.
