The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Southern Theater Command and the China Coast Guard (CCG) have intensified patrols around China's Huangyan Dao, reinforcing efforts to safeguard national sovereignty and security in the South China Sea.
On Friday, the PLA Southern Theater Command conducted combat readiness patrols over the territorial waters and airspace of Huangyan Dao and surrounding areas. According to a statement released by the command, patrols and vigilance have been strengthened since January, with enhanced control over the relevant maritime and aerial regions. The command emphasized its commitment to resolutely safeguard national sovereignty and security, as well as peace and stability in the South China Sea.
Similarly, the CCG conducted law enforcement patrols in the territorial waters of Huangyan Dao and its surrounding areas on the same day. In their statement, the CCG announced that they have intensified law enforcement patrols since the beginning of January, further enhancing control over the maritime areas. The CCG reiterated its resolve to safeguard national territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests.
These coordinated efforts by the PLA and CCG underscore China's determination to maintain stability and security in the South China Sea, a region of significant strategic importance.
