Beijing, China — The third China Media Group (CMG) Annual Chinese TV Drama Ceremony was held in the nation's capital on Wednesday, celebrating the finest achievements in television over the past year.
The event bestowed 21 awards across various categories, from Best Actor and Actress to Best Drama Series. Renowned Chinese actors Yu Hewei and Jing Dong, alongside actresses Song Jia and Liu Yifei, were honored as \"Actors of the Year\" and \"Actresses of the Year\" respectively. Notably, 15 popular TV series, including The Tale of Rose, To the Wonder, and Romance in the Alley, received the \"Outstanding TV Series of the Year\" award.
The ceremony also marked the launch of the Film and Television Tourism Consumption Integration Year. This initiative aims to promote the integration of film and television with cultural tourism and consumption, fostering the high-quality development of the cultural tourism sector.
