The third China Media Group (CMG) Annual Chinese TV Drama Ceremony took place in Beijing on Wednesday, honoring outstanding achievements in the television industry.
A total of 21 awards were presented, recognizing talents from best actor and actress to the best drama series. Notable winners include actors Yu Hewei and Jing Dong, and actresses Song Jia and Liu Yifei, who received the prestigious titles of \"Actor of the Year\" and \"Actress of the Year\" respectively. Additionally, 15 popular TV series such as The Tale of Rose, To the Wonder, and Romance in the Alley were awarded \"Outstanding TV Series of the Year\".
In conjunction with the ceremony, the Film and Television Tourism Consumption Integration Year was launched. This initiative aims to foster the integration of film and television with cultural tourism and consumption, promoting the high-quality development of the cultural tourism sector.
The event featured vibrant performances, including songs and dances, and showcased memorable scenes from popular TV dramas of the past year. It also paid tribute to the dedicated behind-the-scenes workers who contribute to the success of these productions.
For those who missed the live event, the ceremony will be rebroadcast on CCTV-1 at 5:00 p.m. on January 30 and on CCTV-8 during prime time on February 2.
