The Third China Media Group (CMG) Annual Chinese TV Drama Ceremony lit up Beijing on Wednesday, celebrating the best in television over the past year. The event honored outstanding talent and productions that have captivated audiences across the nation.
A total of 21 awards were presented, recognizing achievements from Best Actor and Actress to Best Drama Series. Renowned actors Yu Hewei and Jing Dong, along with celebrated actresses Song Jia and Liu Yifei, were awarded the prestigious titles of \"Actor of the Year\" and \"Actress of the Year\" respectively.
Among the standout productions, 15 popular TV series received the \"Outstanding TV Series of the Year\" honor. Notable titles included The Tale of Rose, To the Wonder, and Romance in the Alley, each praised for their storytelling and impact on viewers.
The ceremony also marked the launch of the Film and Television Tourism Consumption Integration Year. This initiative aims to blend film and television with cultural tourism and consumer experiences, promoting the high-quality development of the cultural tourism sector.
Attendees were treated to performances filled with songs and dances, showcasing memorable scenes from popular dramas and paying tribute to the dedicated professionals behind the scenes.
For those who missed the live event, the ceremony will be rebroadcast on CCTV-1 at 5:00 p.m. on January 30 and on CCTV-8 during prime time on February 2.
