The third China Media Group (CMG) Annual Chinese TV Drama Ceremony was held in China's capital city Beijing on Wednesday, celebrating the year's finest achievements in television drama.
A total of 21 awards, ranging from Best Actor and Actress to Best Drama Series, were presented at the event. Among the honorees, Chinese actors Yu Hewei and Jing Dong, along with actresses Song Jia and Liu Yifei, received the prestigious titles of \"Actor of the Year\" and \"Actress of the Year,\" respectively. Their exceptional performances have left a significant mark on the industry.
Furthermore, 15 popular TV series, including The Tale of Rose, To the Wonder, and Romance in the Alley, were awarded the \"Outstanding TV Series of the Year\" honor, recognizing their contributions to Chinese television and their widespread acclaim among audiences.
The ceremony also marked the launch of the Film and Television Tourism Consumption Integration Year. This initiative aims to promote the integration of film and television with cultural tourism and consumption, fostering high-quality development within the cultural tourism sector.
The event was filled with songs and dances, showcasing memorable scenes from popular TV dramas over the past year and paying tribute to the behind-the-scenes workers whose efforts bring these productions to life.
For those who missed the live broadcast, the ceremony will be rebroadcast on CCTV-1 at 5:00 p.m. on January 30 and on CCTV-8 during prime time on February 2.
