The third China Media Group (CMG) Annual Chinese TV Drama Ceremony was held in the capital city of Beijing on Wednesday. The event honored a total of 21 awards, recognizing outstanding achievements in the television industry.
Among the winners were Chinese actors Yu Hewei and Jing Dong, and Chinese actresses Song Jia and Liu Yifei, who received the titles of \"Actor of the Year\" and \"Actress of the Year,\" respectively. Additionally, 15 popular TV series, including The Tale of Rose, To the Wonder, and Romance in the Alley, were awarded \"Outstanding TV Series of the Year\".
The ceremony also marked the launch of the Film and Television Tourism Consumption Integration Year, an initiative aimed at promoting the integration of film and television with cultural tourism and consumption, as well as fostering the high-quality development of the cultural tourism sector.
The event featured performances of songs and dances, showcasing famous scenes from popular TV dramas of the past year and paying tribute to the behind-the-scenes workers who contribute to the industry.
For those who missed the live event, the ceremony will be rebroadcast on CCTV-1 at 5:00 p.m. on January 30 and on CCTV-8 during prime time on February 2.
