Recalling his visit to the beautiful state of Iowa 40 years ago, Xi noted that the warm reception he experienced remains fresh in his memory. He expressed that China and the United States can achieve mutual success and common prosperity, benefiting both nations and the world at large.

The Chinese president conveyed his hope for increased exchanges between the Chinese and American peoples. He encouraged more visits and interactions to jointly write new stories of friendship and contribute to the development of China-U.S. relations.

Earlier, 58 individuals from Iowa, including friends such as Luca Berrone, Gary Dvorchak, and Sarah Lande; former U.S. Ambassador to China Terry Branstad and his wife; former President of the World Food Prize Foundation Kenneth Quinn; as well as representatives of teachers, students, and parents involved in the \"50,000 in Five Years\" initiative, jointly sent a Chinese New Year card to President Xi.

In their card, they reminisced about Xi's first visit to Iowa in 1985 and extended their New Year greetings to President Xi in the Year of the Snake. The representatives expressed gratitude for the \"50,000 in Five Years\" initiative, shared their positive experiences from visiting China, and voiced their eagerness to return.
