In his reply, Xi conveyed that the warm reception he received during his 1985 visit to the beautiful state of Iowa remains fresh in his memory. He highlighted that China and the United States can achieve mutual success and common prosperity for the benefit of both countries and the world at large.

The Chinese president expressed his hope that the peoples of both nations will engage in more frequent visits and exchanges. He encouraged them to jointly write new stories of friendship and contribute to the development of China-U.S. relations.
