President Xi Extends Spring Festival Greetings to Military Personnel

The Spring Festival, marking the Chinese Lunar New Year, falls on January 29 this year. Amid the snowy landscape of the northern region, President Xi met with the troops, expressing his heartfelt gratitude for their dedication and service. Through a video link, he also connected with representatives of military units across the country, listening attentively as they reported on their combat readiness and mission status.

President Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), extended festive greetings on behalf of the CPC Central Committee and the CMC to service personnel of the PLA, the People's Armed Police Force, civilian personnel in the military, and members of the militia and reserve forces.
