On Saturday, a spokesperson for the China Coast Guard (CCG), Liu Dejun, announced that two Philippine vessels were expelled after unlawfully intruding into waters near Tiexian Jiao of China's Nansha Qundao.
The vessels attempted to illegally land on the reef and collect sand samples on Friday. They were warned and driven away by the CCG, according to Liu.
