Xi Jinping Visits Shenyang to Connect with Residents Before Spring Festival

Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, visited Shenyang, the capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province, on Thursday ahead of the upcoming Spring Festival.

Amid preparations for the most important festival for the Chinese people, which falls on January 29 this year, Xi took time to connect with local residents and observe firsthand the preparations and community services in place for the holiday season.

During his visit, Xi stopped by a bustling food market, where he inquired about the supply and prices of essential goods. Engaging with vendors and shoppers alike, he emphasized the importance of ensuring abundant supplies and stable prices to meet the needs of the people during the festival.

Xi also toured a residential community in Shenyang, learning about the measures being implemented to enhance public services and improve residents' daily lives. He listened attentively to the experiences and suggestions of community members, highlighting the government's commitment to addressing their concerns and fostering a supportive environment.

For over a decade, Xi, as the top leader of the Party and the state, has made it a tradition to spend time with ordinary people ahead of the Spring Festival. His annual visits reflect a continued dedication to staying connected with citizens and understanding the realities of their everyday lives.

The Spring Festival, also known as the Chinese New Year, is a time of family reunions and cultural festivities across China. Xi's visit underscores the government's focus on ensuring that all citizens can enjoy a safe, prosperous, and joyous holiday.
