Xi Jinping Visits Shenyang Ahead of Spring Festival

Chinese President Xi Jinping, who is also the general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made an inspection tour of Shenyang, the capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province, on Thursday. The visit comes shortly before the Spring Festival, the most important festival for the Chinese people, which falls on January 29 this year.

During his time in Shenyang, Xi visited a bustling food market and a local residential community. At the market, he engaged with vendors and shoppers, inquiring about the supply of goods during the holiday season. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a stable supply to meet residents' needs during the festivities.

In the residential community, Xi learned about measures in place to optimize public services and improve people's livelihoods. He interacted with residents, discussing the progress made in enhancing their quality of life and addressing everyday needs.

For more than a decade, Xi has upheld the tradition of connecting with ordinary people ahead of the Spring Festival. His visits highlight a commitment to understanding the lives of citizens and ensuring that their voices are heard at the highest levels of government.
