Xi Jinping Visits Shenyang Ahead of Spring Festival

Shenyang, Liaoning Province — Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, visited Shenyang, the capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province, on Thursday, ahead of the upcoming Spring Festival.

With the most important festival for the Chinese people approaching on January 29 this year, Xi's visit aimed to inspect preparations and engage with local residents. In Shenyang, he toured a food market and a residential community, where he inquired about the supply of goods during the holiday season and the measures in place to meet residents' daily needs and enhance public services.

At the market, Xi spoke with vendors and shoppers, learning about the availability and prices of essential commodities. He emphasized the importance of ensuring adequate supply and stable prices to ensure that everyone can enjoy a prosperous and happy festival.
