Xi Jinping Inspects Shenyang Ahead of Spring Festival

In the spirit of the upcoming Spring Festival, Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, visited Shenyang, the capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province, on Thursday.

During his visit, Xi explored a food market and a residential community, where he learned about the supply of goods during the holiday season and measures in place to meet residents' daily needs. He also inquired about the optimization of public services and the progress made in improving people's lives.

The Spring Festival, which falls on January 29 this year, is the most significant festival for the Chinese people. Xi's inspection of Shenyang shortly before the festival highlights his dedication to understanding and addressing the concerns of ordinary citizens.

For more than a decade, Xi, as the top leader of the Party and the state, has made it a tradition to spend time with the people ahead of the Spring Festival. This annual practice reflects his commitment to staying connected with communities across China.

Xi's visit to Shenyang underscores the importance placed on ensuring adequate holiday preparations and improving the well-being of residents. As the nation prepares to celebrate the Spring Festival, such engagements reinforce the government's focus on social harmony and prosperity.
