President Xi Visits Flood-Affected Villagers in Northeast China’s Liaoning Province

Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, braved the cold on Wednesday to visit residents affected by recent floods in Zhujiagou village, northeast China's Liaoning Province.

Zhujiagou village, under the administration of Suizhong County in Huludao City, has been grappling with the aftermath of severe flooding. President Xi's visit brought comfort and encouragement to the villagers as they work towards rebuilding their homes and livelihoods.

Ahead of the upcoming Spring Festival, which falls on January 29 this year, Xi extended warm greetings to the villagers, emphasizing the importance of community solidarity and resilience. The Spring Festival, also known as the Chinese New Year, is the most significant festival in China, marking a time for family reunions and cultural celebrations.

During his visit, Xi assessed the flood damage and discussed recovery efforts with local officials and residents. He urged authorities to prioritize the safety and welfare of the people, ensuring that all necessary support and resources are provided promptly.
