President Xi Visits Flood-Affected Residents in Northeast China’s Liaoning Province

In a heartfelt gesture ahead of the Spring Festival, President Xi Jinping braved the cold on Wednesday to visit flood-affected residents in the village of Zhujiagou, Liaoning Province, in northeast China.

As the general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, President Xi met with local villagers who have been impacted by recent floods. The village of Zhujiagou, under the administration of Suizhong County, Huludao City, has been grappling with the aftermath of severe flooding.

During his visit, President Xi assessed the flood damage, inquired about the well-being of the villagers, and extended his support and best wishes ahead of the Spring Festival, which falls on January 29 this year. The Spring Festival is the most significant traditional festival for the Chinese people, marking the beginning of a new lunar year.

President Xi's visit underscores the government's commitment to supporting affected communities and ensuring that all citizens can celebrate the upcoming festivities with hope and resilience.
