President Xi Jinping Visits Flood-Affected Village in Liaoning Province

Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on Wednesday braved the cold to visit residents affected by recent floods in northeast China's Liaoning Province.

Visiting the village of Zhujiagou in Suizhong County, Huludao City, Xi Jinping met with villagers to assess the damage caused by the floods and oversee relief efforts. He emphasized the importance of supporting those impacted by natural disasters and ensuring that aid reaches every affected household.

The visit came ahead of the Spring Festival, the most important festival for the Chinese people, which falls on January 29 this year. Xi Jinping extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the villagers, expressing hope that they would rebuild their homes swiftly and enjoy a prosperous new year.

During his visit, Xi discussed reconstruction plans with local officials and stressed the need for sustainable measures to prevent future flood damage. He also highlighted the role of community solidarity in overcoming challenges posed by natural calamities.
