President Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on Wednesday braved the cold to visit people affected by floods in the village of Zhujiagou, Liaoning Province.
Xi's visit to Zhujiagou, under the administration of Suizhong County, Huludao City, comes ahead of the Spring Festival, the most important festival for the Chinese people, which falls on January 29 this year.
Walking through the snow-covered streets, Xi met with residents, expressing his concern and commitment to aiding in their recovery. He listened attentively to their stories, reassuring them that the government is taking all necessary measures to provide assistance and restore normalcy.
\"The safety and well-being of the people are always my utmost priority,\" Xi said during the visit. He emphasized the importance of swift action in relief efforts and urged local authorities to ensure that everyone has a safe and happy Spring Festival.
