Xi Jinping and Putin Vow Stronger China-Russia Ties Amid Global Uncertainties

In a video meeting on Tuesday, Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized the importance of a stable and resilient relationship between China and Russia to address uncertainties in the external world. Speaking with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Xi highlighted the pivotal role of their nations' partnership in promoting global stability.

President Xi expressed his readiness to work with President Putin in 2025 to further elevate China-Russia relations. He stressed that the two countries should leverage their stable ties to navigate external challenges, jointly promote development and revitalization, and uphold international fairness and justice.

\"We should continue to deepen strategic cooperation, strengthen mutual support, and safeguard the legitimate interests of both countries,\" Xi stated, urging for the consolidation and expansion of bilateral relations and the advancement of practical cooperation.

President Putin acknowledged the mutual trust and support that have long characterized Russia-China relations. \"Russia and China have always trusted and supported each other and treated each other as equals,\" he said. Putin affirmed that their cooperation serves the interests of both peoples and will remain unaffected by changes in the international situation.

During the meeting, the leaders conducted an in-depth exchange of views on international and regional issues of common concern. They agreed to maintain strategic communication throughout the year, underscoring their commitment to close collaboration in addressing global challenges.
