President Xi emphasized that a solid China-Russia partnership is crucial in addressing external challenges. \"In 2025, I am ready to work with President Putin to continue guiding China-Russia relations towards greater heights,\" Xi said. \"We aim to cope with the uncertainties of the external environment with the stability and resilience of China-Russia relations, jointly promote the development and revitalization of our countries, and uphold international fairness and justice.\"
He called for both nations to deepen strategic cooperation, reinforce mutual support, and safeguard their legitimate interests. \"The two sides should continue to consolidate and expand bilateral relations and promote the in-depth development of practical cooperation,\" Xi added.
President Putin echoed these sentiments, highlighting the enduring trust and equality between Russia and China. \"Russia and China have always trusted and supported each other and treated each other as equals,\" Putin remarked. \"Our cooperation serves the interests of both peoples and will never be impacted by changes in the international situation.\"
During the meeting, the two leaders exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern and agreed to maintain strategic communication throughout the year.
