President Putin echoed Xi's sentiments, stating that Russia and China have always trusted and supported each other, treating one another as equals. \"Cooperation between the two sides serves the interests of both peoples and will never be impacted by changes in the international situation,\" Putin said.
The leaders had an in-depth exchange of views on international and regional issues of common concern and agreed to maintain strategic communication in the coming year.
