Astronauts aboard China's orbiting space station have successfully completed their second series of extravehicular activities (EVAs) for the Shenzhou-19 mission. The China Manned Space Agency announced that the mission was accomplished at 1:12 a.m. Beijing Time on Tuesday.
The crew members—Cai Xuzhe, Song Lingdong, and Wang Haoze—spent 8.5 hours outside the station, performing multiple tasks with the assistance of the space station's robotic arm and ground control teams. Their efforts mark a significant milestone in China's rapidly advancing space exploration program.
During the EVAs, the astronauts conducted various operations crucial for the maintenance and expansion of the space station's capabilities. The successful completion of these tasks not only demonstrates the crew's exceptional skill and coordination but also showcases China's growing prowess in manned space missions.
The Shenzhou-19 mission continues to build on the achievements of previous missions, contributing to long-duration human presence in space and paving the way for future exploration endeavors.
