At 1:12 a.m. Beijing Time on Tuesday, the Shenzhou-19 crew aboard China’s orbiting space station successfully concluded their second series of extravehicular activities (EVAs), showcasing China’s advancing capabilities in space exploration.
Astronauts Cai Xuzhe, Song Lingdong, and Wang Haoze worked tirelessly for 8.5 hours, completing multiple critical tasks with the assistance of the space station’s robotic arm and support from the ground team.
Under the coordination of the China Manned Space Agency, the mission aimed to test and enhance the crew’s ability to perform spacewalks, as well as to validate the functionality of the station’s equipment in the harsh environment of outer space.
The successful completion of these EVAs marks a significant milestone for the Shenzhou-19 mission, contributing to the ongoing development of China’s space station and laying the groundwork for future long-duration manned missions.
This second spacewalk not only demonstrates the crew’s endurance and technical prowess but also advances China’s ambitions in space exploration, inspiring interest and excitement among global observers and enthusiasts.
With the mission progressing smoothly, the Shenzhou-19 crew continues to carry out experiments and technology tests, contributing valuable data and experience to China’s space program.
