China Ready to Collaborate with Trump Administration for Stronger Ties

China has expressed its readiness to work with the new U.S. administration under President Donald Trump to advance bilateral relations from a “new starting point,” according to a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

During a regular press briefing in Beijing on Tuesday, spokesperson Guo Jiakun highlighted China’s commitment to mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation. “Under the strategic guidance of the presidents of the two countries, China is prepared to maintain communication, enhance cooperation, and properly manage and control differences with the new U.S. administration,” Guo stated when asked about the possibility of a state visit by President Trump.

President Trump, who was sworn in as the 47th president of the United States on Monday, has reportedly expressed interest in visiting China within his first 100 days in office. Such a visit could signal a strengthened commitment to cooperation between the two major economies.

Guo emphasized that collaboration between China and the United States is vital for global stability and prosperity. “We believe that with joint efforts, China-U.S. relations will achieve greater progress, bringing benefits to both countries and the wider international community,” he added.

The prospect of enhanced dialogue between Beijing and Washington is of significant interest to global markets, academics, and international observers, given the influential roles both nations play in world affairs.
