Xi Jinping Urges Unity in Spring Festival Greetings to Non-CPC Members

On Monday, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, extended warm Spring Festival greetings to members of non-CPC political parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), personages without party affiliation, and other members of the united front. The festive gathering took place at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, as the nation prepares to celebrate the Lunar New Year on January 29.

Addressing the attendees, Xi Jinping, who is also the President of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, emphasized the importance of unity and collective effort in advancing the country's development goals. He outlined China's commitment to implementing more proactive and impactful macroeconomic policies, focusing on high-quality development and enhancing self-reliance in science and technology.

\"We must sustain sound social and economic development in 2025,\" Xi stated, underscoring the significance of achieving the targets set in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–2025) and laying a solid foundation for the next five years.

He called upon non-CPC political parties, the ACFIC, and personages without party affiliation to leverage their unique strengths, rally broader support, and contribute wisdom and strength to the nation's endeavors. \"By focusing on central tasks and serving the country's overall interests, you play an indispensable role in our collective progress,\" Xi remarked.

Xi Jinping also highlighted the need to tackle critical challenges, such as supervising the protection of the Yangtze River ecosystem. He urged the ACFIC to guide the private sector in fostering entrepreneurship, bolstering confidence in development, and establishing modern corporate systems with distinctive Chinese features.

The event served as a platform to mobilize all positive forces to advance development and encourage active contributions toward comprehensively deepening reform and promoting high-quality growth. Xi expressed hope that non-CPC personages would actively participate in formulating proposals for the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030), ensuring their insights help shape China's future trajectory.
