Xi Jinping Extends Spring Festival Greetings to Non-CPC Personages

In a warm gesture ahead of the Spring Festival, Chinese President Xi Jinping extended festive greetings to non-Communist Party of China (CPC) personages during an annual gathering at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The Spring Festival, also known as the Chinese Lunar New Year, falls on January 29 this year, marking a time of unity and renewal across the nation.

Addressing members of non-CPC political parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), personages without party affiliation, and other members of the united front, President Xi emphasized the importance of collective effort in steering the country towards prosperity. He highlighted the need for more proactive and impactful macro policies, focusing on high-quality development and promoting greater self-reliance in science and technology to sustain sound social and economic growth in 2025.

\"We must concentrate on our central tasks and serve the country's overall interests,\" Xi remarked, calling upon non-CPC political parties and personages to leverage their unique strengths. He encouraged them to rally broader support, build consensus, and pool wisdom and strength to achieve the targets set in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–2025), laying a solid foundation for the next five years.

Xi underscored the significance of mobilizing all positive forces to advance development and contribute to comprehensively deepening reform. He urged non-CPC personages to actively participate in promoting high-quality development and formulating proposals for the upcoming 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030).

Tackling environmental concerns, the president stressed the need to address critical and challenging problems in the supervision of the Yangtze River ecosystem's protection. He called for concerted efforts to safeguard this vital natural resource, ensuring sustainable development for future generations.

Addressing the private sector, Xi highlighted the role of the ACFIC in guiding businesses. \"The ACFIC should lead the private sector in maintaining enthusiasm for entrepreneurship, bolstering confidence in development, and establishing modern corporate systems with distinctive Chinese features,\" he stated.

The gathering reflects Xi Jinping's inclusive approach to governance, recognizing the valuable contributions of non-CPC entities in China's socio-economic landscape. As the nation prepares to celebrate the Spring Festival, his messages resonate with a focus on unity, innovation, and shared responsibility in achieving China's ambitious goals for 2025 and beyond.
