In anticipation of the upcoming Spring Festival, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, extended warm greetings to non-CPC political parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), personages without party affiliation, and other members of the united front. The Spring Festival, also known as the Chinese Lunar New Year, falls on January 29 this year and is a time of reunion and celebration across China. He expressed hope that non-CPC personages would mobilize all positive forces to advance development, actively contribute to comprehensively deepening reform, promote high-quality development, and participate in formulating proposals for the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030).
Emphasizing environmental conservation, Xi urged efforts to address critical and challenging problems in supervising the protection of the Yangtze River ecosystem. He highlighted the need for sustainable practices to preserve China's vital natural resources.
Regarding the private sector, Xi noted that the ACFIC should guide entrepreneurs in maintaining enthusiasm for innovation and entrepreneurship. He called for bolstering confidence in development and establishing modern corporate systems with distinctive Chinese features to enhance the vitality of private enterprises.
