Xi called upon non-CPC political parties, the ACFIC, and personages without party affiliation to align with the country's central tasks and overall interests. Underscoring the importance of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–2025), Xi stressed the need to meet its targets by 2025 and lay a solid foundation for the subsequent five years. Addressing environmental concerns, Xi highlighted the critical and challenging issues in supervising the protection of the Yangtze River ecosystem. He emphasized the importance of addressing these problems to ensure sustainable development.
