Xi called upon non-CPC political parties, the ACFIC, and personages without party affiliation to concentrate on central tasks and serve the country's overarching interests. He urged them to leverage their unique strengths to rally broader support, build consensus, and pool wisdom and strength for the nation's development goals.
Underscoring the importance of achieving the targets set in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–2025), Xi stressed the need to lay a solid foundation for the next five years. He expressed hope that non-CPC personages would mobilize all positive forces to advance development and actively contribute to comprehensively deepening reform, promoting high-quality development, and formulating proposals for the upcoming 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030).
Addressing environmental concerns, Xi highlighted the necessity of tackling critical and challenging problems in supervising the protection of the Yangtze River ecosystem. He emphasized that safeguarding the environment is a crucial component of the country's sustainable development strategy.
Regarding the private sector, Xi noted that the ACFIC should guide private businesses in maintaining their enthusiasm for entrepreneurship and bolstering their confidence in development. He encouraged the establishment and improvement of modern corporate systems with distinctive Chinese features, reinforcing the crucial role of the private sector in the nation's economy.
The gathering reflected Xi's commitment to inclusive governance and collaboration across different sectors and political affiliations.
