Chinese President Xi Jinping extended festive greetings to non-Communist Party of China (CPC) personages ahead of the upcoming Spring Festival during an annual gathering at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Monday.

Addressing members of non-CPC political parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), and personages without party affiliation, Xi emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in advancing China's development goals. He called on these groups to leverage their unique strengths to rally broader support, build consensus, and pool wisdom to serve the country's overall interests.

Xi, who is also the general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, highlighted China's commitment to implementing proactive and impactful macroeconomic policies. \"We will focus on high-quality development and promote greater self-reliance and strength in science and technology to sustain sound social and economic development in 2025,\" he said.

The president underscored the significance of achieving the targets set in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–2025) and laying a solid foundation for the next five years. He expressed hope that non-CPC personages would actively contribute to deepening reforms, promoting high-quality development, and formulating proposals for the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030).
