BEIJING – As the Spring Festival approaches, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, extended festive greetings to members of non-CPC political parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), personages without party affiliation, and other united front members. The annual gathering was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, symbolizing unity and collaboration ahead of the Lunar New Year, which falls on January 29 this year.
During the event, Xi emphasized the importance of unity and collective effort to achieve China's development goals. Addressing environmental concerns, Xi stressed the need to tackle critical challenges in the protection and supervision of the Yangtze River ecosystem. He highlighted the role of the ACFIC in guiding the private sector to maintain entrepreneurial enthusiasm, bolster confidence in development, and establish modern corporate systems with distinctive Chinese features.
