Beijing, January 25 – Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, extended festive greetings to non-CPC personages ahead of the upcoming Spring Festival. The annual gathering took place on Monday at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, uniting leaders from non-CPC political parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), personages without party affiliation, and other members of the united front.
The Spring Festival, also known as the Chinese Lunar New Year, falls on January 29 this year. It is a time of celebration and reflection across the Chinese mainland. He called upon non-CPC political parties, the ACFIC, and personages without party affiliation to align with the central tasks of the nation. “Leverage your respective strengths to more broadly rally support, build consensus, and pool wisdom and strength,” Xi urged. He highlighted the importance of unity in serving the overall interests of the country.
Xi Jinping stressed that efforts in 2025 should be geared towards successfully accomplishing the targets set in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025). “We must lay a solid foundation for the next five years,” he added, underscoring the strategic significance of the plan in shaping China’s future.
The gathering underscored the critical role of cooperation between the CPC and non-CPC entities in achieving national goals. As the nation prepares to celebrate the Spring Festival, Xi’s message resonates with a call for collective effort and shared vision in advancing China’s development.
