Efforts were emphasized to systematically enhance water source conservation in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, strengthen soil and water conservation in the middle reaches, and advance wetland protection and ecological governance in the lower reaches. The meeting also stressed the importance of ensuring the safety of essential dams, reservoirs, and infrastructure.

Integrating Strategies for Regional Development

The meeting advocated for the synergy of the Yellow River’s high-quality development with broader national strategies, such as the large-scale development of the western region and the rise of the central region. This integration aims to foster balanced regional growth and maximize the ecological and economic benefits of the Yellow River Basin.

Moreover, there was a call to improve the holistic and systematic protection of cultural heritage within the basin and to promote the integration of culture and tourism development, enhancing the region’s cultural richness and economic vitality.
