On Monday, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, extended warm Spring Festival greetings to members of non-CPC political parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), personages without party affiliation, and other members of the united front.
During the annual gathering ahead of the Spring Festival, which falls on January 29 this year, Xi Jinping, who is also the Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in advancing China's development goals.

Xi called upon non-CPC political parties, the ACFIC, and personages without party affiliation to concentrate on central tasks and serve the country's overall interests. He urged them to leverage their unique strengths to rally broader support, build consensus, and pool wisdom and strength for the nation's development.
He stressed the importance of achieving the targets set in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–2025) by 2025 and laying a solid foundation for the next five years. Xi expressed hope that non-CPC personages would mobilize all positive forces to advance development, actively contributing to comprehensively deepening reform, promoting high-quality development, and formulating proposals for the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030).
Addressing environmental concerns, Xi emphasized the need to tackle critical and challenging problems in the supervision of the Yangtze River ecosystem's protection.
