In a spirit of unity and festivity, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, extended heartfelt Spring Festival greetings on Monday to members of non-CPC political parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), personages without party affiliation, and other members of the united front. The gathering took place at the iconic Great Hall of the People in Beijing, setting a celebratory tone ahead of the Spring Festival, which falls on January 29 this year.

Xi, who also serves as Chinese President and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, underscored the importance of collective effort in his remarks. He emphasized China's commitment to implementing more proactive and impactful macroeconomic policies, focusing on high-quality development, and enhancing self-reliance in science and technology. These initiatives aim to sustain robust social and economic growth in 2025 and beyond.

Addressing the assembled non-CPC personages, Xi called upon them to align with central tasks and serve the nation's overarching interests. He highlighted the unique strengths of non-CPC groups in rallying broader support, building consensus, and pooling wisdom and strength. \"Together, we can achieve the ambitious targets set in the 14th Five-Year Plan and lay a solid foundation for the future,\" Xi stated.

Looking ahead to the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030), Xi expressed hope that non-CPC personages would mobilize all positive forces to advance development. He encouraged active contributions toward deepening reform, promoting high-quality growth, and formulating strategic proposals for the nation's next phase of development.

Environmental stewardship also featured in Xi's address. He stressed the need to tackle critical and challenging issues in supervising the protection of the Yangtze River ecosystem. Preserving this vital waterway is essential for sustainable development and ecological balance.

Xi urged the ACFIC to guide the private sector in maintaining enthusiasm for entrepreneurship and bolstering confidence in development. He advocated for the establishment and improvement of modern corporate systems with distinctive Chinese features, recognizing the private sector's vital role in the national economy.

The gathering reflected a unified vision for China's future, emphasizing collaboration across political lines and sectors. As the nation prepares to celebrate the Spring Festival, there is a renewed focus on unity, innovation, and shared progress.
