The Political Bureau reviewed a comprehensive report from its Standing Committee after hearing and discussing the work reports of the leading Party members' groups from key state institutions. These included the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), the State Council, the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the Supreme People's Court (SPC), the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP), and the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee.

Acknowledging a year of diligent work, the meeting fully recognized the achievements of these leading Party members' groups and approved their work plans for 2025. The meeting emphasized that in 2025, these groups must prioritize action, consolidate efforts to advance reforms, and contribute to promoting high-quality development and the modernization of China.

The Secretariat was urged to enhance its political capabilities, enforce strict self-governance, and diligently accomplish all tasks assigned by the CPC Central Committee.

A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to discussing ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin. President Xi highlighted the critical importance of this region, calling for the comprehensive enforcement of the Yellow River Protection Law.

Strengthening the synergy between the Yellow River's high-quality development and the broader strategies of large-scale development in the western region and the rise of the central region was deemed essential.

Furthermore, there was a call to improve the holistic and systematic protection of cultural heritage within the Yellow River Basin and to promote the integration of culture and tourism development. This approach aims to preserve the rich history of the region while unlocking new economic opportunities through sustainable tourism.

This meeting reflects the CPC's commitment to ecological conservation and high-quality development, aligning with China's broader goals of sustainable growth and modernization.
