China Expresses Readiness to Work with New U.S. Administration for Mutual Benefit

China has expressed its readiness to manage differences and enhance cooperation with the new U.S. administration, signaling a hopeful tone for future relations between the two nations. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning made the remarks during a regular press conference on Monday.

“Cooperation benefits both, and confrontation hurts both,” Mao Ning emphasized in response to queries about China’s expectations for the new U.S. administration. She underscored that a stable, healthy, and sustainable development of China-U.S. relations aligns with the common interests of both countries and meets the expectations of the international community.

Mao Ning stated that China is prepared to work with the new U.S. administration to uphold principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation. “We aim to enhance dialogue and communication, expand mutually beneficial cooperation, and find the correct path for our two countries to get along,” she added.
