In a message exchanged with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam and Vietnamese President Luong Cuong on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations, Xi emphasized the importance of building a China-Vietnam community with a shared future that holds strategic significance.
Xi highlighted the profound friendship between China and Vietnam, noting that the two socialist neighbors have supported each other in their struggles for national independence and liberation over the past 75 years. \"So profound is the friendship between Vietnam and China, because we are both comrades and brothers,\" Xi said, describing the relationship as a vivid portrayal of camaraderie.
The Chinese President recalled his successful visit to Vietnam in 2023, where both sides pledged to elevate their relations to a new stage by working towards a shared future. He underscored that the shared socialist ideals and mutual pursuit of progress are the most striking features of the relations between the two countries.
